first. The specific days are Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday. Pool Parties are available these days also. Saturday or Sunday are 8:30-11:30am or 6:15-8pm or 8:15-10pm. No Pool Parties on any holidays. $20 donation for one New Member Pool Party. (This offer is only good for the year you are a new member.) $40 donation for one Referring Member Pool Party. (This offer is only good for the year you referred the new member.) $100 donation for one Member Pool Party. $20 Reschedule fee. Non-Member Pool Party NOT AVAILABLE. Please plan to bring $40 as a gift for the Pool Attendant before your guests arrive for each Pool Party block. $60 gift for the 3 hour Pool Party. To reserve your Pool Party drop off your check made out to LYS at the Pool at least one week before the date of party otherwise the party might not be accepted. 2020 POOL PERSONAL SAFETY POLICY: Over the years we have noticed that people move around and potentially change locations at the pool from time to time; especially children. Disinfecting the pool furniture only lasts until it receives the next human contact. It is impossible to disinfect every piece of furniture and bathroom fixtures after every individual use every time. As a solution, to increase your safety, we are asking that you assist in your personal responsibility of you and your loved ones by wearing masks, gloves, bring towels or coverings to cover all surface areas on chairs and picnic tables where you plan to be in contact with, all while maintaining the 6 foot social distancing with everyone. You should also bring disinfecting supplies to clean bathroom fixtures before your personal use. With that said I know that chlorinated water is good for neutralizing bad stuff but the chairs and everything else that are not in the water is suspect for contaminated by bad stuff. I know that the majority of members will support what we do since they know that utilities, real estate taxes, and insurance still needs to be paid. Those who chose not to pay their membership, we understand but those who chose to support us through difficult times will be appreciated and rewarded with next years renewal membership discount. This years membership payment, if the pool doesn't open will not be a credit going forward. If we don't open it will be considered as unselfish unconditional donation to sustain us through difficult times. In 2020, choose what is good for your best interest during these unprecedented times. SPECIAL ALERT: A Pool
Attendant who has not been to the pool since she began feeling
poorly has tested positive with what she termed as a mild case of the Corona Virus.
(You either have it or you don't.) She thinks she caught it from being at a bar.
We will have more information on that situation soon. If you were within 6 feet of a Pool Attendant for over 10 minuntes you are going to want to monitor your health condition for the immediate 48 hours of doing so. We have sanitizing everything again AND REMOVED ALL FURNITURE. If you want furniture then bring your own. Follow all the guidelines in the "Pool Personal Safety Policy" section below. We know this is above the minimum suggestions but we are putting forth the extra effort to minimize health risks. I was forwarded the letter from Patricia Lopez RN, Interim Health Director, Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department stating the infected Pool Attendant has been cleared to return to work July 10, 2020. The exposed Pool Attendant is being tested tomorrow, July 9, 2020. If test is positive, they will not be allowed to work until permitted by doctors/Department of Health. If negative will be allowed to return immediately (since also beyond the 7 day incubation period.) |

ASK A POOL ATTENDANT FOR HELP
I saw something today that I would prefer would never happen again especially when there are two Pool Attendants within a couple dozen feet of the situation. An adult asked a small child to assist another small child in distress. I would like to believe that anyone would ask a Pool Attendant for assistance in a situation like that. When one child is in distress putting another child near the situation should be our last choice. What ever the reason to put a second child at risk.... I don't care ! It should not happen. The Pool Attendant knows the equipment and has a bigger body mass than a child to assist in the safe assistance of a small child in distress. |

2019 Pool Pay.
(This applies to hours we are open to general membership only.) Base Pay for all employees starts at $ 9.00 per hour plus the Hourly Add-ons #1, #2 & #3. Add-on #1: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay for each previous year you were hired and worked. This will cap out at a $5.00 increase. Add-on #2: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay if you have proof you have passed Life Guard and CPR Training. Add-on #3: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay if asked to take and pass LLHD Pool Manager Class and Test. July Add-on Bonus: If you have taken and passed the LLHD Water Quality Test or the LLHD Pool Manager Test and with working at least one Pool Party the previous month and in good standing along with performance expectations, we will add an extra dollar per hour bonus for all hours worked in the month of July that are equal to or less than the amount of hours you worked in May and June. Hours over that amount get paid at your May/June rate. If you did not work during May or June, this add-on does not apply. Deduct one bonus hour for each time you are late to work. Deduct one hour of bonus for each quarter hour you did not show up for work due to any reason. August Add-on Bonus: Same as July Add-on for an extra $1 per hour. times available to reserve are: Monday through Friday are 8:30-11:30am or 8:15-10pm (and 1-4pm on or after August 13.) Saturday or Sunday are 8:30-11:30am or 6:15-8pm or 8:15-10pm. No Pool Parties on any holidays. Please plan to bring $30 as a gift for the Pool Attendant before your guests arrive for each 2 hour Pool Party. $45 gift for the 3 hour Pool Party. To reserve your Pool Party drop off your check made out to LYS at the Pool at least one week before the date of party otherwise the party might not be accepted. Put the date and time you want in the memo portion of the check. IMPORTANT: Your reservation is not complete until after submitting your reservation check (via mail or dropping off at the Pool) you check the calendar page of the website daily until your Pool Party reservation appears with the correct date, day and time. If it does NOT appear on the website correct within one week contact Mike Letheby by texting 402-432-6453. Your received check is your only reservation. ALL SAFETY-CHECKS 50 MINUTES AFTER THE HOUR AND SAFETY RULES APPLY DURING ALL POOL PARTIES. $20 reschedule fee with new date and time of the rescheduled Pool Party in the memo of the check. 2018 Pool Pay.
(This applies to hours we are open to general membership only.) Base Pay for all employees starts at $ 9.00 per hour plus the Hourly Add-ons #1, #2 & #3. Add-on #1: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay for each previous year you were hired and worked. This will cap out at a $5.00 increase. Add-on #2: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay if you have proof you have passed Life Guard and CPR Training. Add-on #3: add $1.00 per hour to your base pay if asked to take and pass LLHD Pool Manager Class and Test. July Add-on Bonus: If you have taken and passed the LLHD Water Quality Test or the LLHD Pool Manager Test and in good standing with performance expectations, we will add an extra dollar per hour bonus for all hours worked in the month of July that are equal to or less than the amount of hours you worked in May and June. Hours over that amount get paid at your May/June rate. If you did not work during May or June, this add-on does not apply. Deduct one bonus hour for each time you are late to work. No Pool Parties on Independence Day (July 4th,) or Labor Day. Please plan to bring $30 as a gift for the Pool Attendant before your guests arrive. To reserve your Pool Party drop off your check at the Pool on or before one week before the date of party otherwise the party might not be accepted. Put the date and time you want in the memo portion of the check. 2017 Test
Pool Pay. (This applies to hours we are open to
general membership only.) Rock Bottom Base Pay for all employees starts at $ 9.75 per hour plus the Hourly Add-ons #1, #2 & #3. Add-on #1: add 25 cents per hour to your base pay if you helped us last year. Add-on #2: add 25 cents per hour to your base pay if you have proof you have passed both Life Guard and CPR Training. Add-on #3: add 50 cents per hour to your base pay if asked to take and then pass Pool Manager Class and Test. July Add-on Bonus: If you have taken and passed the LLHD Water Quality Test, and in good standing with performance expectations, you can add-on an extra dollar per hour for all hours worked in the month of July that are equal to or less than the amount of hours you worked in May and June. Hours over that amount get paid at your May/June rate. If you did not work during May or June, this add-on does not apply. August Add-on Bonus: If you have taken and passed the LLHD Water Quality Test and in good standing with performance expectations, you can add an extra two dollars per hour to your starting Based Pay for all hours worked in the month of August that are equal to or less than the amount of hours you worked in either May & June or in July (whichever is greater.) LYS Swim Pool is a Class B
Swimming Pool. Class B Swim Pools are not required to have Life
Guards. In an effort to provide additional support the members
and their guests there is a
Pool Attendant. The 2016 LYS Pool Attendant employees
are Life Guard Certified, CPR Certified and Water Quality
Testing Certified with the exception of "Parent
Days."
There will not be a Life Guard Certified Pool Attendant on
Parent Days. Parent Day will be from 1-4:30pm on Tuesdays and
Thursdays with a volunteer Pool Attendant. Each family is always
responsible for the safety of themselves, their families and

2016 LYS Pool Attendants are: Connie F., Anne Marie
S., Madi W., Karly S. LYS Pool Attendants start at $9 per hour and get a $.25 cent raise the following year if rehired. Pool Attendant Supervisor starts at $10 per hour (unless their pay was greater.) The Pool Attendant Supervisor gets a $.50 raise if they return the following year. Maximum pay for Pool Attendant Supervisor is $15 per hour. Pool Attendant Supervisor is Pool Manager Certified. LYSA is also looking at a program for Intern Pool Attendants who would get paid minimum wage but allocated very few pool employment hours. They will be with a current Pool Attendant during their service (certain exceptions will apply.) They will get first consideration to replace retiring guards in the future. 2015 LYSA Pool Attendants are: Paige Harrison (Supervisor,) Heather Lancaster, Madi Woodward, Connie Fiedler, Ann Marie Schnieder. LYSA Pool Attendants start at $9 per hour and get a $.25 cent raise the following year if rehired. Pool Attendant Supervisor starts at $10 per hour (unless their pay was greater.) The Pool Attendant Supervisor gets a $.50 raise if they return the following year. Maximum pay for Pool Attendant Supervisor is $15 per hour. LYSA is also looking at a program for Intern Pool Attendants who would get paid minimum wage but allocated very few pool employment hours. They will be with a current Pool Attendant during their service (certain exceptions will apply.) They will get first consideration to replace retiring guards in the future. | LYS Swimming Pool is a Class B Swimming Pool. LYSA is not required to have Life Guards. In an effort to provide additional support for safety to the members and their guests their is a Pool Attendant. The 2016 LYS Pool Attendants are Life Guard Certified, CPR Certified and Water Quality Testing Certified with the exception of "Parent Days." There will not be a Life Guard Certified Pool Attendant on Parent Days. More details to come. Each family is still responsible for the safety of themselves, their families and their guests while on LYSA Pool property. | |||
